Overview

Mardi Himal with height (5587 m), situated in the east of Annapurna Base Camp trek area is one of the most popular trekking mountains in Nepal. It is less than 20 km north of Pokhara in Nepal. It is the summit of the Annapurna Mountains situated in the south. The valley of Mardi Himal consists of steep and overgrown bamboo and beautiful rhododendron at its foot. The mountain lies on the southwestern side of Machhapuchhare. The southwestern wall has hanging glaciers in between.

Machhapuchhare ridge has separated the east wall by a pass at 5200 meters. Every year many trekkers make their way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp, which is situated at the base of Mardi Himal. The trekking trail of Mardi Himal goes through the small winding path, beautiful rhododendron forests, and traditional villages. You’ll have beautiful views of terraced farming in the mountain region. The dazzling rivers will force you to capture the moments on camera. The Mardi Himal Trekking gives supreme opportunities to observe the amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Hiuchuli and Annapurna South.

Mardi Himal Trekking is said to be a short but enjoyable trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. You can get many tea houses, lodges and try the traditional foods enjoying the views of excellent hills and mountain landscape. The journey starts from Kathmandu and then heads towards Pokhara. The Trekking begins after you reach Phedi. The trail goes through different tourist places such as Deurali and different camps that include forests camp, low camp, and high camp. We’ll trek towards the upper viewpoint where we’ll get amazing views of different mountains and greenery plants. We’ll then trek back to Siding village crossing the trail of high camp, and finally back to Pokhara following the route of Lumre. It takes nearly 9 to 12 days to the Mardi Himal Trek depending upon the physical fitness of the trekker and trekking route.

Day by Day Itinerary

30 min from airport to hotel Bed & Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

As soon you’ll arrive at Kathmandu, we’ll send our representative to receive you and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, we’ll go to visit different temples in Kathmandu and do some shopping. We’ll discuss the trek and preparation for the evening.


Drive 6-7 hrs, Flight 25 min Bed & Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

In the morning, after breakfast, we’ll drive towards Pokhara through Prithvi Highway. We’ll have a lunch break on the way. We’ll stay overnight in Pokhara.


30m drive and 5 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea-House / Lodge

After the proper rest, we’ll drive for Phedi next morning. We’ll start our trek journey from Phedi towards Deurali. The trail is steeper up to the Annapurna Base Camp. After lunch, we’ll head downhill to Pothana and then climb up to Deurali. We’ll stay overnight in Deurali.


4-5 hrs All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea-House / Lodge

The next day, we’ll continue our trek towards forest camp. We’ll walk through the road which is dotted with pine forests and then through the rhododendron forest. We’ll have lunch and then head towards forest camp for overnight stay.


3-4 hrs All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea-House / Lodge

We’ll have a short walk on this day. We’ll departure for low camp through the beautiful forest and will capture the beautiful natural scenes of snow-capped Himalayas of South Annapurna, Mt. Fishtail, Himchuli along with different traditional villages. We’ll stay overnight in low camp.


4-5 hrs All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea-House / Lodge

On the sixth day, we’ll head towards the high camp. We’ll trek through the beautiful pine forests and rhododendron forest. We’ll stay overnight in high camp.


3-4 hrs All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea-House / Lodge

After the early breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards viewpoint. You can capture each and every moment from this viewpoint. After that, we’ll walk back to the high camp. We’ll stay overnight in high camp.


3-4 hrs All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea-House / Lodge

The next day, we’ll trek towards Siddha village in the Kaski district of Gandaki zone. The village consists of unique culture and tradition. We’ll stay overnight in Siddha village.


3hrs walk and 1hrs drive Bed & Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

The next day, we’ll trek towards Lumre. The village has different historical temples and Kali Mandir at Pokhari swara. After worshipping the temple, we’ll have a rest. We’ll have a lunch break and then will drive for Pokhara. We’ll stay overnight in Pokhara.


Drive 6-7 hrs, Flight 25 min Bed & Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

After the early breakfast in the morning, we’ll drive back to Kathmandu. We’ll have a lunch break on the way. We’ll stay overnight in Kathmandu.


30 min from hotel to airport Breakfast

This is the day to say goodbye to the beautiful journey and take all the beautiful moments captured in the camera. After the early breakfast, our representative will manage your flight for the final departure.
