Kathmandu Chitwan Pokhara Tour, Nepal is a country of different religious and cultural heritage. It has many Mountains and Himalayas, and small villages with unique cultures and traditions. Day by Day Itinerary

On your arrival at Kathmandu (TIA) Airport, our office staff of Trips Himalaya will come to pick you up from the airport and depart to your Hotel. If your arrival is earlier then you will have a sightseeing tour in someplace like Boudhanath, Soyambhunath, or Pashupatinath. In the evening, you will be served a special dinner that introduces Nepali food culture.

Early in the morning, we will drive to visit different religious and historical places in Kathmandu. The UNESCO listed world heritage sites include Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Bouddhanath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar and many more.

Swayambhunath:

The Buddhist temple is also known as the "monkey temple". It is situated on a hill station, with the best Panoramic views of Kathmandu valley and the green forest surrounding it. If the weather is clear, you will see wonderful snow-capped mountains views.

Pashupatinath:

The most popular Hindu temple in Nepal. It is located on the banks of the holy (Bagmati) River. This temple is dedicated to the Lord of Shiva. Inside the temple is permitted for Hindus people only, however, can go to another side of the temple to see the rituals of Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and ceremony of funerals pyres burning on the ghats.

Boudhnath stupa:

Kathmandu Durbar Square:

You will enjoy another different Hindus Temple known as Kathmandu Durbar Square. A place of old history and rich culture here is one of the major attractions was Kastamandap Temple a temple built from the wood of a single tree. Then you will have a visit to Kumari Goddess Temple ( living goddess in Nepal). If we have leisure time we will visit Patan Durbar Square. It is also a historical, cultural and ancient art and architectural place in Nepal.

After an early breakfast, We will take a flight or drive towards Chitwan following the route on the bank of the Trishuli river with a beautiful view of the Nepali hill. Chitwan is one of the most popular places to visit for wild animals and visit different cultures.

After reach to Chitwan, we can take a short village walking tour of the Tharu community and learn more about the Tharu lifestyle and culture. We will also get another opportunity to sunset view here.

In the morning, we prepare for an elephant safari inside the Chitwan jungle. We’ll experience the bath given to the elephant. Bird watching, jungle walking and so on are different activities carried out in the Chitwan jungle.

Jeep safari: Jeep safari is one of the most important opportunities to see the wild animals in Chitwan National Park, where we are able to see lots of birds and wild animals including the Bengal tiger one-horned rhino, deer and many more.

Early in the morning, we will start another morning trip to Chitwan National Park for Bird watching tour.

Bird watching tour: Bird watching tour means observation or study of birds. Chitwan National Park is the most famous spot for bird watching with over 400 species of birds. While traveling on a jeep safari or elephant safari you will be able to see the number of birds. Blue-Throat, long-tailed, storks, Brown crakes, etc are the popular birds found in Chitwan National Park.

After back to the hotel, take Breakfast then we drive towards Pokhara. On the way, you can enjoy the landscape and click pictures of the beautiful views of the countryside. Entering Pokhara if you have time, we’ll visit Phewa lake and see the beautiful views of mountains such as Machhapuchhre, Dhauligiri and many more.

Early in the morning, we will drive to the top of Sarangkot for the sunrise tour. Sarangkot is the best sunrise viewpoint over the Mountain, the sunrise view is amazing and you can observe the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalaya ranges. After the Sunrise tour back to the hotel for breakfast, we’ll visit different religious and cultural, and adventurous places in Pokhara including Barahi Temple, Bindhebasani temple, David Falls, Fewa Lake, International Mountain Museum and so on. You can do different adventurous things including paragliding in Pokhara.

Shanti Stupa(World peace Pagoda): Shanti Stupa(World peace Pagoda) is located at the top of Anadu hill. A Buddhist pilgrimage and the perfect locus to view the mesmerizing view of Phewa lake and the whole Pokhara city. Similarly, one can get also view the wonderful sunset befalling upon the city of Pokhara in a peaceful environment.

Phewa Lake: A proper way to relish and take a break into a calm and lively lake Phewa during your Pokhara visit. A lake with a diverse aquatic ecosystem and crystal clear water, you will gain peace of mind here. Similarly, on a clear day, you can see the magnificent reflection of mount Annapurna and mount fishtail clear on the surface of the lake. On a small island inside this lake is a sacred Hindu temple of Tal Barahi.

Tal Barahi Temple: Situated in the middle of a beautiful Phewa lake in the lap of the Himalayas is the Hindu Temple of Tal Barahi. A Temple of goddess Durga, the goddess of power and the protector. Pilgrims from the whole nation converge in this place to offer their prayers and offerings to the goddess here. A visit here is an opportunity to get knowledge of the Hindu culture and tradition from a close distance.

Davis Fall: One of the most popular visited tourist places in Pokhara city, Davis fall is a narrow underground Waterfall tunneling through the city of Pokhara. Patale Chango as called by the local people is a sight to enjoy on your visit to Pokhara.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: The Gupteshor cave is famous for its structure and religious value. Translated in English as the cave of hidden gods, this cave is the largest cave in South Asia. It is about 9992 feet long, and Full of statues of Hindu gods we can see a magnificent view of Davis fall falling from above the ground towards its end.

Sarangkot: Sarangkot is a small village providing a magnificent view of the Himalayas Range. During the sunrise and sunset, we can see the rays of the sun hitting the white- Himalayas and Annapurna Mountain range to give a heavenly scene of a lifetime. Sarangkot is also the take-off place of the famous Pokhara paragliding.

Bindabasini Temple: The Temple is one of the most reached Hindu temples in Pokhara city. It is also one of the oldest Hindu temples of Goddess Bhagwati. Rituals and pujas are performed on different occasions to please goddess Bhagwati. You can get a chance to experience a traditional Hindu marriage here if you are lucky.

Seti River Gorge: Gorge formed by the grueling Seti river is a chance to see this unique natural phenomenon where the fast-flowing water of the Seti river flows deep down the gorge. Seti river is known for its milky white river.

Today after breakfast, we’ll prepare to drive back to Kathmandu along the bank of Marshyangdi and the Trishuli River. These rivers are the biggest rivers in Nepal and are famous for Trishuli rafting and white water rafting. After reaching Kathmandu, you can do shopping including different religious and historical garments. We’ll stay overnight in Kathmandu.

You can travel to Nepal all year round for Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara trips, but the best time of the year is Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). These months are the perfect time to visit. The weather is warm and sunny with the best views of the countryside. If you want to avoid the crowds, a winter time (December to February) is also the best option.

The monsoon season in Nepal lasts from June to August and this is not the time to visit. Heavy rains and widespread landslides make it difficult to travel around the country and many tourist facilities are temporarily closed.
