Shivapuri Hiking propounds a commendable view of beautiful Langtang Himalayas along with wonderful nature, and an eagle-eye view of Kathmandu Valley and its surrounding. The place is said to be the natural paradise to hike near Kathmandu Valley. Shivapuri National Park is the closest national park from Kathmandu Valley. The place is known as the second highest hill near Kathmandu Valley which includes the beautiful greenery scenes of flora and fauna in the region. Baghdwar is said to be the source of Holy River Bagmati that flows nearby Holy place, Pashupatinath Temple. The temple is known as the principal temple of Lord Shiva.

Our trek starts from Kathmandu after a breakfast in your own hotel. We’ll have 20 minutes drive towards Budhanilkantha Temple which is 8 Km towards the north of Kathmandu. After visiting the beautiful temple, we start our trek through Shivapuri conservation area where we’ll get a chance to observe 5000 species. There is Nepal army check post located on the southern boundary of the area for the security of national park. We’ll visit Nagi Gumpa which situated in the north of Kathmandu just above Budhanilkantha Temple. The Gumpa is said to be the famous Monastery for the Nuns practice in Buddhism. After having lunch, we stroll around to capture the beautiful scenes of monastery and vegetation that are around the area. We’ll take a short route to trek towards Kopan that takes about 2 Hrs to reach. After reaching Kopan, we drive back to Kathmandu beautiful settlements around. As there is no place for lunch during hiking, we recommend you to take some water and dry food with you.
