Overview

Manaslu Trekking takes you to the spectacular view through the gorge of Budhi Gandaki. It is also known as the great tea-house trek. Some also call it the best trek within Nepal because of its great Himalaya Trail. The trek is an alternative to the Annapurna Circuit. Manaslu Trekking follows the trail of an ancient salt-trading route of Tibet along the Budhi Gandaki River. You’ll enjoy the classic trekking through different wild scenes with outstanding Mountain View from Lho to Bhimthang which makes you feel like you’re paradise. Samdo village is said to be another attraction to the Manaslu Trek. It is said to be the highest village in the Budhi Gandaki valley with the inhabited by Bhotias. You’ll have a spectacular view of the valley and Pang Phuchi village with a background of Tibetan border. The Manaslu region is famous for different kinds of species of birds and animals including Golden Eagle, Eurasian Griffon, Himalayan Griffon, Blood, Impeyan and many more. It is rich in natural beauties with different types of forests including rhododendron forests and pine forests.

The journey of Manaslu Trekking starts from Kathmandu. We drive towards Arughat Bazaar and then to Machha Khola following the path of Soti Khola. We’ll pass through the trail of steep rocks and villages along the Budhi Gandaki River towards Jagat. After reaching Manaslu Base Camp, we’ll observe the perfect views of mountains along with the combination of rich cultural heritage and genuine adventures. We’ll then move towards Tilje and then to Besisahar. Our tour ends back in Kathmandu.

Day by Day Itinerary

As soon you arrive in Kathmandu, a representative will pick you up and transfer you to a hotel. We’ll discuss the tour later. In the evening, you’ll be served a special type of dinner that introduces Nepali food culture.


As morning rises, we’ll towards Arughat Bazaar in Gorkha District. The villages that are located in Arughat are divided into two parts on the opposite sides of Budhi Gandaki. Overnight in Arughat.


The next day, we trek towards Soti Khola. The trail passes through Gurung and Magar Villages, past fields, and cascading waterfalls with the view of beautiful splendid views of Shringri Himal. Overnight in Soti Khola.


After an early breakfast, we trek towards Machha Khola. Machha Khola is a village situated above a stream. Overnight in Machha Khola.


Jagat is a village located in Lamjung district in Gandaki zone of Nepal. The trek towards Jagat goes through steep rock and beautiful cultural villages. Overnight in Jagat.


Early in the morning, after an early breakfast, we walk towards Deng. The trail goes through rocky ridge and views of Sringi Himal. We have to cross a suspension bridge on the way.


Beyond Deng, we continue our trek towards Namrung. We have to climb to Rana and then pass the trail to Bhi. There are several houses that are gathered together about a common courtyard and livestock shelters on the ground floor. Overnight in Namrung.


We continue our trek towards Shyala next morning. We pass mani walls, fields, houses and enter rhododendron and oak forests before climbing to Li. Overnight in Shyala.


The next day, we move towards Samagaon. We can get the excellent views of Manaslu, Manaslu North from in the way. On further trekking, we enter the world of yaks. Overnight in Samagaon.


This day, we trek towards Samdo. There are long mani walls and marmots in all direction standing in their burrows. Overnight in Samdo.


After an early morning breakfast, we trek towards Larkya Phedi. We pass another trail to Tibet to the right and then climb left after a mani wall. After transversing through juniper with many marmots, we cross two ravines on narrow tracks. Overnight in Larkye Phedi.


Today, we pass the path through the rocky underfoot and follow for cairns and metal snow poles. We’ll observe the beautiful peaks including Kang Guru and Annapurna II on the way. Overnight in Bimthang.


The walk towards Tilje goes through interesting old growth forests and different green plants. Overnight in Tilje.


Early in the morning, we descend towards Sirichaur. The trail goes through vibrant culture, impressive hill settlements, and local lifestyle of an ethnic group of people including Gurung, Magar, and Bramhin. Overnight in Sirichaur.


After an early breakfast, we trek towards Besisahar that follows the trail of steep rocks with several cultural villages. After reaching Besisahar, we’ll drive towards Kathmandu. The route goes on the bank of the Trisuli River with the view of beautiful mountains by its side. Overnight in Kathmandu.


Our tour comes to an end this day. After an early breakfast and hotel checkout, a representative will pick you up and transfer you to a hotel.
