Kathmandu Bhaktapur Sightseeing Tour, a city tour of wonder, and different cultures and traditions is a perfect destination for tourists who want to explore ancient arts and architecture of religious and historical places. Kathmandu is a valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur are the main cities within the Kathmandu valley. Each city has its own religious and cultural sites that attract different tourists who come to visit Nepal. Different religious temples such as Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and many more are enlisted in UNESCO World Site.

Pashupatinath Temple is situated on the bank of the Bagmati River and is known as the principal temple of Lord Shiva. Soyambhunath Temple is famous for the largest population of monkeys in the area. Bouddhanath Stupa is the largest stupa in South Asia. Kathmandu Valley contains different durbar squares that show the historical importance of ancient Nepal. Chyangu Narayan Temple is located on the high hilltop of Bhaktapur in Kathmandu Valley and is considered the oldest temple in the history of Nepal. Up to the hills of Bhaktapur, there lies Nagarkot which is famous for excellent views of the Himalayas.

The 6 days Kathmandu Bhaktapur Sightseeing Tour starts with the exploration of different temples in Kathmandu Valley. We’ll visit Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Bouddhanath Temple and many more and then move towards the Durbar Square. After visiting Bhaktapur city, we’ll move towards Chyangu Narayan Temple. Our journey ends back in Kathmandu with the shopping for different religious and cultural garments.

Day by Day Itinerary

30 min drive from airport to hotel Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

As soon you arrive in Kathmandu, a representative will pick you up and transfer you to a hotel. We’ll discuss the tour later. In the evening, you’ll be served special dinner which introduces Nepali food culture. We’ll stay overnight at Kathmandu.


4-5 hrs Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

Early in the morning, we visit the religious sites in Kathmandu such as Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and many others. Then we move towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square that has unique art and architecture preserved from the ancient period. We’ll stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

You will enjoy with another different Hindus Temple know as Kathmandu Durbar Square. A place of old history and rich culture here is one of the major attractions was Kastamandap Temple a temple built from the wood of a single tree. Then you will have a visit of Kumari Goddess Temple ( living goddess in Nepal). If we have leisure time we will visit Patan Durbar Square. It is also historical, cultural and ancient arts and architectural places of Nepal.

Swayambhunath:

The Buddhist temple, also known as the "monkey temple". It is situated on a hill station, with the best Panoramic views of Kathmandu valley and green forest surrounding it. If the weather is clear, you will see wonderful snow-capped mountains views.

Pashupatinath:

The most popular Hindu temple in Nepal. It is located on the banks of the holy (Bagmati) River. This temple is dedicated to Lord of Shiva. Inside the temple permitted for Hindus people only, however, can go another side of the temple to see the rituals Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and ceremony of funerals pyres burning on the ghats.

Boudhnath stupa:

Boudhnath stupa is one of the largest Buddhist stupas of South Asia. This stupa is surrounded by Tibetan settlements and monasteries. In Boudhnath you will see the Buddhist rituals traditions, Buddhist prayer flags and mane.

The next day, we move towards Patan Durbar Square. After sightseeing different places in Lalitpur, we move towards Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We can many people living the local lifestyle that are preserved from past in Bhaktapur. We then drive towards Chyangu Narayan which lies in Bhaktapur and is famous for Chyangu Narayan Temple, the oldest temple in the history of Nepal. We’ll stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Patan Durbar Square:

The Patan Durbar square is located in the city center of Lalitpur. This is one of the three main Durbar squares of the Kathmandu Valley. Patan durbar is an UNESCO world heritage site too. This city presents of finest traditional crafts, rich artistic heritage and cultural.

  1. Krishna Mandir-This is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. This is one of the most important structures of the square.
  2. Golden Temple-This temple is famous for its golden structures and décor works. This temple is dedicated to Buddhism.
  3. Bhimsen temple-This temple portrait Bhimsen as Newar Bhim, the God of trade and business. Tourists cannot access this temple.
  4. Vishwanath temple-This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. You can also find other major attractions inside the temple.

Best Time To Visit Durbar Square

October to December is the best time to visit Patan Durbar Square but will be a little crowded during tour season.

Bhaktapur:

Bhaktapur known as Bhadgaon or Khwopa is one of the major cities of Kathmandu Valley. The city is filled with sculptures, medieval art skill, architectures, woodcarvings and pagoda style temples. Bhaktapur Dubar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which located in front of the royal king palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom. It is a centre of culturereligious enlightenment,and medieval art skill for centuries.

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel and heading to Bungamati and Khokana are typical Newari towns. The first point on your trip will be in the tiny local Newari town of Bungamati. We can find people are getting wood carving. After Bungamati, you'll go to Khokana, where you'll continue learning all about the history of the Newari civilization. As your guide explains the evolution of the culture, you'll visit more of the local villages and there local lifestyle important religious, including Shree Rudrayani. This 500-year-old temple. We’ll stay overnight at Kathmandu.


30 min drive from hotel to airport Breakfast

Our tour comes to an end on this day. After an early breakfast, a representative will help you with your final departure. You will reach the airport 3 hours before your flight time.
