Overview

Everest Three Pass Trekking is considered as an invigorating adventure in the Himalayas of Nepal which covers trekking on popular Everest trails and also sightseeing of unique gems of the Khumbu region. The trek takes you to the three high passes in the Everest region. Kongma La Pass, Cho La Pass, and Renjo La Pass. The trail goes towards the Everest Base Camp, Kalapatthar, Gokyo Ri and other lakes. The Everest Three Pass Trekking route also includes the beautiful Sherpa village along with Nangpa La Valley. The place offers the ultimate and complete trekking experience in the Everest region of Nepal.

The Everest Three Pass Trekking starts after your arrival in Kathmandu. After proper preparation for the trek, we take a flight towards Lukla with beautiful Ariel views of different mountains. Our trek starts from Lukla towards Phakding and then to the beautiful town Namche Bazaar. We’ll have an acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. After visiting Tengboche Monastery, we continue our tour towards Dingboche. We follow the trail of Kongma La Pass via Chhukung. Our walk continues towards Kala Patthar which is the most famous place to have an exciting view of Mt. Kala Patthar with the views of Mt. Everest in the background. Crossing Gokyo Ri via Chola La Pass will give you wonderful experiences of local settlements and different cultural villages. Our trek ends back in Kathmandu after we trek back to Lukla from Namche Bazaar.

Day by Day Itinerary

After your arrival in Kathmandu, a representative will pick you up and transfer you to a hotel. We’ll discuss the tour later. In the evening, you’ll be served a special dinner that introduces the Nepali food culture.


Early in the morning, we take a flight towards Lukla. The flight is interesting as it offers an Ariel view of different Himalayas and Mountains. After reaching Lukla, we begin our trek towards Phakding through a Cheplung village where you can see a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila, a sacred mountain which has never been climbed. Overnight in Phakding


We trek towards uphill and downhill with crossing multiple times over Dudh Koshi River. The trail offers a magnificent view of Mt. Thamserku from Benkar village. After crossing some, bridges, we reach at the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo. After passing Jorsale Village, we reach to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.


We spend a whole day in Namche Bazaar. We explore the entire town of Namche Bazaar and hike up to Everest View Hotel to enjoy the admirable view of the Himalayan Vista. We visit Khumjung Monastery on our way back to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.


After an early breakfast, we trek towards Tengboche. The trail goes through the Phunki Thanga and then towards Tengboche village where the largest monastery, Tengboche Monastery is located. We’ll observe the panoramic views of highest mountains including Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, and Lhotse. Overnight in Tengboche.


Our trek continues towards the downhill and passes through lush forests which are filled with birch, conifers and rhododendron trees. We’ll get the beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam on the way. Overnight in Dingboche.


Today, again we have an acclimatization day in Dingboche. We’ll have a short hike towards Nagarjuna Hill for the great views of Makalu, Chalotse, Lhotse, Tawache, Ama Dablam and others. Overnight in Dingboche.


Our trail goes through stone-walled fields and Imja Khola Valley towards Chhukung. The trek is intersected by icy streams. Overnight in Chhukung


Early in the morning, we descend towards the highest place of the entire trip which is Khongma La Pass. The pass is marked by cairns and Buddhist prayer flags. After climbing the moraine, we trek towards north through Khumbu Glacier that takes us to Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.


Our trail goes along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We’ll get the great view of the crest of the north ridge of Everest along with Pumori, Lingtern, Khumbutse, Mahalangur, Nuptse and other mountains. We pass through rocky dunes and streams before reaching the base camp of the world’s tallest mountain, Everest. Overnight in Gorakshep.


We start our trek towards Kala Patthar early in the morning which gives us an opportunity to catch the beautiful view of the sunrise on Mt. Everest. There is a chance of chilly winds on the way. After reaching Kala Patthar, you can get the great view of Kala Patthar along with the background view of Mt. Everest. Overnight in Kala Patthar.


From Lobuche, we trek towards Dzongla where our trail splits into two and we choose on our right. We pass through a stupa and tombstones in the way. After crossing Chola Khola on a bridge, we reach Dzongla. Overnight in Dzongla.


The Cho La Pass begins to appear as we gain the height. The trail goes through the steep roads and straight towards uphill. The top of Cho La Pass is marked by prayer flags and cairns which give you the best sceneries of majestic peaks. Overnight in Gokyo.


We again spend our acclimatization day in Gokyo. We’ll explore the entire beauties of Gokyo and have a short climb towards Gokyo Ri which gives stunning views of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu mountains along with the huge Ngozumba Glacier. Overnight in Gokyo.


We start our day moving towards Marlung via Renjo La Pass. On the way of Renjo La Pass, we’ll get extravagant views of Himalayan and Rolwaling ranges. We also get the exciting views of the highest Himalayas and Mountains including Mt. Everest. Overnight in Marlung


Early in the morning, we trek back to Namche Bazaar that follows a traditional route used for centuries by the Tibetan traders. We cross the Bhote Koshi River and reach Taranga. After crossing few small villages, we reach to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.


We continue our trek back to Lukla crossing several bridges over the fast flowing Dudh Koshi River. The trail goes through open plains, rhododendron and pine forests with the distant views of snow covered peaks. Overnight in Lukla.


Early in the morning, we take a flight towards Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you can do some shopping for gifts for your family and friends. Overnight in Kathmandu.


Our tour comes to an end this day. A representative will help you with your final departure.
