Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour, Nepal is a tourism country full of religious and cultural heritage. There are different religious and cultural heritages that are enlisted by UNESCO World Heritage Site. Different Durbar Squares in Kathmandu have unique art and architecture that are preserved from the past. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur are the main cities within Kathmandu Valley. These cities have different cultural and historical sites.

Chitwan is another tourist place in the Terai region of Nepal. It is famous for Chitwan National park which is enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Site and has different species of flora and fauna. The ethnic group of Tharu people in Chitwan makes the region a major place for tourist attraction.

Pokhara is a place for adventure tourism. Different trekking routes start from Pokhara. You can see different mountains such as Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhare and many more from Pokhara. Pokhara is famous for the Barahi Temple, Fewa Lakes, Mahendra Cave, David Falls, Seti River George, International Mountain Museum and many more. Our 10 days Our Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour package from Kathmandu to Lumbini including Pokhara and Chitwan starts from Kathmandu with the exploration of different religious and cultural heritages in Kathmandu Valley. We follow the path of Pokhara and visit different adventures of Pokhara. Then we drive to Chitwan and visit the Chitwan National Park and observe the unique culture and tradition of the Tharu people living in Chitwan. We then drive towards Lumbini and visit different Monasteries and Stupas. Our tour comes to an end back in Kathmandu.

Day by Day Itinerary

30 min drive from airport to hotel Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

As soon you arrive in Kathmandu, a representative will pick you up and transfer you to a hotel. We’ll discuss the tour later. In the evening, you will be served a special type of dinner in the evening that introduces Nepali food culture.

The next morning, we visit different religious places including Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath, Soyambhunath Temple many more. Then we move towards different Durbar Squares in Kathmandu Valley

Pashupatinath:

The most popular Hindu temple in Nepal. It is located on the banks of the holy (Bagmati) River. This temple is dedicated to the Lord of Shiva. Inside the temple is permitted for Hindus people only, however, can go to another side of the temple to see the rituals of Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and ceremony of funerals pyres burning on the ghats.

Boudhnath stupa:

Boudhnath stupa is one of the largest Buddhist stupas in South Asia. This stupa is surrounded by Tibetan settlements and monasteries. In Boudhnath you will see the Buddhist rituals traditions, Buddhist prayer flags and mane.

Swayambhunath:

The Buddhist temple is also known as the "monkey temple". It is situated on a hill station, with the best Panoramic views of Kathmandu valley and the green forest surrounding it. If the weather is clear, you will see wonderful snow-capped mountains views.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

You will enjoy another different Hindus Temple known as Kathmandu Durbar Square. A place of old history and rich culture here is one of the major attractions was Kastamandap Temple a temple built from the wood of a single tree. Then you will have a visit to Kumari Goddess Temple ( living goddess in Nepal). If we have leisure time we will visit Patan Durbar Square. It is also a historical, cultural and ancient art and architectural place in Nepal.

6-7 hrs Breakfast 3 Star hotel or similar

Today after breakfast, we’ll prepare to drive back to Kathmandu along the bank of Marshyangdi and the Trishuli River. These rivers are the biggest rivers in Nepal and are famous for Trishuli rafting and white water rafting. After reaching Kathmandu, you can do shopping including different religious and historical garments. We’ll stay overnight in Kathmandu.

As morning rises, we move towards different tourist places in Pokhara including Barahi Temple, Bindhebasini Temple, Mahendra Cave, David Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum and many more. You can also do some adventurous things such as paragliding in Pokhara. We’ll stay overnight in Pokhara.

Shanti Stupa(World peace Pagoda): Shanti Stupa (World peace Pagoda) is located at the top of Anadu hill. A Buddhist pilgrimage and the perfect locus to view the mesmerizing view of Phewa lake and the whole Pokhara city. Similarly, one can get also view the wonderful sunset befalling upon the city of Pokhara in a peaceful environment.

Phewa Lake: A proper way to relish and take a break into a calm and lively lake Phewa during your Pokhara visit. With a lake with a diverse aquatic ecosystem and crystal clear water, you will gain peace of mind here. Similarly, on a clear day, you can see the magnificent reflection of mount Annapurna and mount fishtail clear on the surface of the lake. On a small island inside this lake is a sacred Hindu temple of Tal Barahi.

Tal Barahi Temple: Situated in the middle of a beautiful Phewa lake in the lap of the Himalayas is the Hindu Temple of Tal Barahi. A Temple of goddess Durga, the goddess of power and the protector. Pilgrims from the whole nation converge in this place to offer their prayers and offerings to the goddess here. A visit here is an opportunity to get knowledge of the Hindu culture and tradition from a close distance.

Davis Fall: One of the most popular visited tourist places in Pokhara city, Davis fall is a narrow underground Waterfall tunneling through the city of Pokhara. Patale Chango as called by the local people is a sight to enjoy on your visit to Pokhara.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: The Gupteshor cave is famous for its structure and religious value. Translated in English as the cave of hidden gods, this cave is the largest cave in South Asia. It is about 9992 feet long, and Full of statues of Hindu gods we can see a magnificent view of Davis fall falling from above the ground towards its end.

Sarangkot: Sarangkot is a small village providing a magnificent view of the Himalayas Range. During the sunrise and sunset, we can see the rays of the sun hitting the white- Himalayas and Annapurna Mountain range to give a heavenly scene of a lifetime. Sarangkot is also the take-off place of the famous Pokhara paragliding.

Bindabasini Temple: The Temple is one of the most reached Hindu temples in Pokhara city. It is also one of the oldest Hindu temples of Goddess Bhagwati. Rituals and pujas are performed on different occasions to please goddess Bhagwati. You can get a chance to experience a traditional Hindu marriage here if you are lucky.

Seti River Gorge: Gorge formed by the grueling Seti river is a chance to see this unique natural phenomenon where the fast-flowing water of the Seti river flows deep down the gorge. Seti river is as known for its milky white river.

The next morning, we prepare for a drive towards Lumbini know as the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The route goes through a beautiful mountain, a green forest with a river and a natural waterfall. After reaching Lumbini, we walk through different villages that have unique cultures and traditions We’ll stay overnight in Lumbini.

Today after breakfast, we explore different Monasteries and Stupas in Lumbini. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha and is a pilgrimage place for Buddhists. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. Today you can visit more than twenty-five Buddhist monasteries built by various countries from France to Vietnam, study Buddhism, meditate and visit the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha within the sacred Mayadevi Gardens. Lumbini is the holy site for all Buddhists people. But there are other various sites that are the main attraction of Lumbini. They are:

Maya Devi Temple: The Maya Devi temple and the tank which is near the temple are a part of the sacred and holy complex. Maya Devi was the mother of Gautam Buddha. The young Buddha emerges on the right side and takes seven steps.

Ashoka Pillar: Ashoka Pillar is another major attraction of Lumbini. The Great Emperor Ashoka visited here and erected an inscribed pillar marking the birth of Buddha.

World Peace Pagoda: It is one of the favorite places in Lumbini. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and the peaceful environment. People from all over the world come there to meditate and relax. Opening hours 5 am-noon & 1 pm – 10 pm

The next morning, we drive towards Lumbini. The route goes through different houses and plain lands in the Terai region. After reaching Chitwan we take a walking tour of the Tharu Village and learn about the Tharu lifestyle with culture. We will also get another opportunity to sunset view from the bank of the Rapti river. We’ll stay overnight in Chitwan Sauraha.

Today after breakfast, we prepare for elephant ridge inside the Chitwan National Park. We’ll experience the bath given to the elephant. Bird watching, jungle walking and so on are different activities carried out in the National Park.

Jeep safari: Jeep safari is one of the most important opportunities to see the wild animals in Chitwan National Park, where we are able to see lots of birds and wild animals including the Bengal tiger one-horned rhino, deer and many more.

Elephant Safari: The best attraction in Chitwan is sitting on an elephant's back and traveling to the jungle of Chitwan National Park. Elephant or jungle safari is the best way to see the birds and wild animals including Bengal tiger one-horned rhino, deer and many more.

Canoe ride: Canoe ride in Rapti river is a more adventure activity to explore Chitwan National Park and to view different water animals and wild animals of Chitwan National Park. Tourists can enjoy the sights of Gharial, crocodiles basking on the banks of the river.

Elephant breeding center: It is the first elephant breeding center in Asia and is situated in Chitwan. Our guide will take you to the elephant breeding center to show the baby elephants with their parents. They will explain the nature, habits and lifestyle of the elephant. The Centre is owned by the government

Tharu cultural program: The Tharu people of Chitwan welcome guests through traditional Tharu dance and singing in the evening time, where we are able to get enjoy popular Tharu stick dances and amazing peacock dances are two main highlights which reflect their lifestyles.

Early in the morning, we will start another morning trip to Chitwan National Park for Bird watching tour.

Bird watching tour: Bird watching tour means observation or study of birds. Chitwan National Park is the most famous spot for bird watching with over 400 species of birds. While traveling on a jeep safari or elephant safari you will be able to see a number of birds. Blue-Throat, long-tailed, storks, Brown crakes, etc are the popular birds found in Chitwan National Park.

After back to the hotel, take breakfast then we drive towards Kathmandu city. The route goes on the bank of the Narayani and Trishuli river with views of beautiful mountains around. After reaching Kathmandu, we go shopping for different religious and historical garments. We’ll stay overnight in Kathmandu.
